Age 13:  It was my friend's 13th birthday and we were trying to think of something to do.  Well supposedly her older cousin is a "witch" so she suggested doing a séance which I was down for but I don't think my friend really wanted to because she was very religious and didn't believe in that stuff.  But we ended up doing it anyways.  We told everyone if they wanted to participate they had to take it seriously  because it could be dangerous.  Quick rule to a séance...if you are holding hands and you contact a spirit and someone breaks the chain (lets go of hand) it could allow the spirit to remain in the room or in a person. With this said and done a couple of people decided not to join so there was about 6 of us.  I asked my friend Sharon if there was a particular room in her house that she has ever felt uncomfortable in she said the guest bedroom.  So thats where we performed the séance.  We sat in a circle with all the lights out except for a few candles scattered in the room and 3 in the middle of the circle.  We also had a Bible, crucifix, and her cousin's spell book (which seemed very old and some of the pages were worn, she said it had been handed down in her family).  We started chanting then we asked if there were any spirits and if so to give us a sign...nothing happened.  We asked again and as we were asking the candles flickered a bit.  Then I noticed that one of the girls in the group seemed to be acting weird I asked her if she was ok...she said no that the girl's (Bethany) hand she was holding started to turn ice cold.  So Sharon's cousin starting asking what the spirits name was and Bethany began to roll her eyes back in her head, she didn't speak in tongues but she spoke with an unusual tone.  She said "Yes I am here" the girl that was holding her hands got scared and let go...causing Bethany to fall backwards.  Everyone started to freak out.  We were yelling at the girl for letting go of her hand and breaking the chain.  We checked to see if Bethany was ok she just seemed stunned but she was ok.  We were worried that the spirit may still be in her so Tiffany (the older cousin) looked through her spell book trying to find a spell to release the spirit...strangely that page had been ripped out...Tiffany swore it was there before.  So we took everyone in the living room bc Bethany was crying and shaking.  Sharon's living room was strange it had 2 glass doors that closed off the rest of the house.  We popped in a movie to calm everyone down and shut the glass doors. As we were watching the movie Tiffany and I noticed that the glass doors were fogging up really bad.  Then I noticed that hand prints started appearing on the glass...now I know it could have been there before and were just showing up now but the way they appeared was different.  They were very clear and not random they were placed as if someone was peering in...I didn't tell anyone in the group because I didn't want to spook anyone anymore than they were already bc Bethany was finally starting to calm down. 

I still have not told any of them about what I had seen but I did ask Sharon if she had experienced anything else since that day she said no.  But strangely a little less than a year ago a new family moved into that house and about 2 or 3 months later they moved out...my mom said it was because things kept happening like stuff breaking, lights turning out, and things like that.  So who knows?

Age 10: A couple of my friends and I were messing around with a Ouji board...yeah yeah I know they aren't real, or it is just a child's game...trust me thats what I thought too.  We were all playing and im a bit skeptical of things like that.  The pointer was moving but I figured it was just one of my friends messing around.  They were asking stuff like "Does Johnny like me?" but I wanted to spice it up so I asked if anyone had died on this street that my friends house was on.  It responded "yes" I asked to speak with that spirit and asked if it was good or bad.  It said good.  Then it said the spirit was in love with one of us. I started laughing and my friends didn't seem amused they actually looked a bit spooked.  The spirit said it liked me and wanted to marry me.  I told my friends to stop playing around...to prove me wrong they took their hands of the pointer and it was still moving! I was freaked out.  I asked the spirits name and if I could see what they looked like.  He said his name was Michael and for me to go into the upstairs bathroom, turn off all the lights except one candle and look into the mirror and he would reveal himself to me.  Ill admit I was very scared at this point but also curious.  So I asked my friends to wait outside the door and Ill go in.  When I entered the bathroom the last thing I remembered was feeling a very cold sensation on my right shoulder then I remember my friends coming in screaming.  They said they kept calling my name and I wouldn't respond and when they finally opened the door I was staring into the mirror paying no attention to them calling.  I wish I knew what happened while I was in there.  But from that day forth every once in awhile Ill have a dream about Michael I am not sure exactly what he looks like but its this guy in his mid 20s with a mustache, a dusty hat and overalls.  Its really weird because it only happens when I have a boyfriend.  The dream will not be about him he will just be there somewhere in it. But some other weird stuff about that situation is the boyfriends I have had since then has had something to do w/a Michael...whether it be his name, a close friends name, or one guy St. Michael was his confirmation name.  Its really weird but the past year I have not had a dream.  A girl I use to work with supposedly sees dead people...im not sure how true that is but she said when she first met me 2 yrs ago she could see some kind of shadow following me and it was evil.  But now she sees me and its gone.  So im not sure what that means but Im just glad its over.

I just got back from watching a special screening of Miracle at St. Anna.  It was so good...very long but good.  It is sad but it tells a great story.  Its about a group of 4 black soldiers fighting during WW2 they are over in Italy and they rescue a little boy that has a strange past, they help protect an Italian family but it also shows the struggles they went through being African Americans in the US army.  Its suspenseful, dramatic, and also has a religious tone to it as well.  Im not much for military type movies but this one was really good! So I suggest everyone go out and watch it if you get a chance and let me know what you think!
